Art and science. I grew up between these two worlds due to the different professional backgrounds of my parents. Each of these areas looks at life differently and poses its own questions. It was normal for me to combine contrasts and it also helped me to develop a certain openness and curiosity, to play with supposed boundaries and thus to find new areas and answers.

This is one of my wishes for the new base of KiAR: That borders are blurred with the brush of openness and respect, and thus a new flow of inspiration and dialogue is made possible.

I had my first gallery when I was 17. Since then I’ve already experienced great and diverse episodes in my artistic career. Sometimes I feel that I’ve already lived thousands of lifetimes.

New colours. New contrasts. Ever changing.

But what always remained and could be called a golden life-line in the mid of everything:

The vitality of art and the interpersonal interactions at eye level.

My vision for our new space is exactly that: A reflection of the artistic energy that transmutes through time and space and combines different aspects of life: Art and science, the interaction between different people, good wine and a room filled with laughter…
